Greatly influenced by her reading of Mrs. Radcliffe's novel 'Mysteries of Udolpho,' Catherine sees Nightmare Abbey as a house of nightmarish mysteries. But is it just her imagination or is there something more sinister lurking in the ancient cloisters?
