Flip This Church is a book that I almost entitled The Things Seminary Never Taught Me, because it is all about the 'stuff' I learned the hard way from my first pastorate. This book is about leadership; not just ordinary leadership, but extra-ordinary leadership. Extraordinary leadership is more than just seeing a problem and addressing it over and over again. It is about providing specific solutions and then empowering others in the community to stand up and fight for these changes. Framed within the context of the faith-based community in the African-American Church, this book answers the question of how we, as a Black church, can better serve our community.
