Coming of Age is a seriocomic account of the adventures of Harold Square, MD. When he retires from the practice of medicine, Square undertakes a quest for a spirituality that he hopes will bring him the inner peace to cope with the aging process and his eventual mortality. What follows is a series of picaresque encounters through which he eventually comes of age in spite of himself.
