CARMEL GRAY CLOUDS is a fusion of two chapbooks written by Joan Frost in 2002. Ms. Frost was one of the formative writers of Ra Press and her books entitled CONCENTRIC CIRCLES and MELODY DISCRETEwere filled with poetry brilliantly succinct, starkly lyrical and densely textured. Ms. Frost grew up on a dairy farm, studied at Fordham and at the Simmons College of Social Work and spent her life as a social worker in Boston and Central New York State. Her poetic themes often describe the challenges of troubled people in a world of bureaucratic labyrinths. This chapbook is a slim volume of beautifully written and deeply felt verse.
