Although reserved for adults, because some examples are inevitably pornographic, this monograph is a serious study of the Tagalog lexicon concerning sex, genitals, reproduction, eroticism and love. The bulk is taken from the earliest Tagalog dictionaries by Spanish clerics (San Buenaventura 1613, Noceda & San Lucar 1754, 1860), whereas slang terms come from modern research and publications available on the internet. The book begins with a description of the ancient Tagalog society as can be inferred from old sources. It is followed by a rich lexicon. Terms are entered in the typical unaccented spelling now in current usage. Each entry is then re-spelt with diacritics that represent features left out in the current system. Occasionally an IPA phonetic transcription is added. The government of a verb is clearly indicated. Whenever possible an example is supplied.
