For many years, Wellbrook House had been a convent in the quiet Surrey countryside. Having been sold at auction for redevelopment into a high standard hotel, building works had only just begun. A small team headed up by the foreman, Charlie Garner, were preparing the site when he unintentionaly uncovered a mystery with origins dating back to the fifties and sixties, bringing to light activities of low ranking Catholic hierarchy. Joseph Chapel, the resident caretaker, and the site foreman join forces to try and piece together the information they learn in an attempt to resolve the age old mystery. Hidden amongst the outer bushes, an elderly woman peered through the branches. That old lady held a secret but could she be tempted to reveal it? This is the eighth novel from Graham C Jones
