This is the second book in the adventures of the four Gordon children and their friend Tom. This time Tom is more involved, when he flies to New York with his school orchestra to perform for charity. He meets a new friend called Georgina and they get caught up in a mystery, which involves several long distance emails to Tom's friends in Edinburgh for help.
