IRDA EDIZIONI Santino Cicala nasce a Santa Teresa di Riva, in provincia di Messina.Ha pubblicato l'opera poetica Candida Suite edita da Pellicanolibri (1986), con la quale ottiene una menzione per l'opera prima al Premio Viareggio. Ancora una menzione speciale al Premio Naturalmente (1992), la cui giuria e presieduta da Remo Croce.Del 1999 e il romanzo Aggrappati alla parola Amore, del 2011 ancora un'opera in versi, Vita, con la quale vince il Premio Progetto Cultura, la cui giuria e presieduta da Franco Ferrarotti.Del 2015 e l'opera poetica, Scherzi, edita da IRDA edizioni. I versi che qui si presentano fanno parte della cinquina finalista del Premio Mangiaparole-Haiku, con giuria presieduta da Luca Cenisi, presidente dell'Associazione Italiana Haiku (AIH).
