For the series Be twisted I was heavily influenced by the inkblots by Rorschach. I got the idea during my graduation project in 2010 at the photography college in Venlo. Instead of taking standard landscapes and portraits, I wanted to do something different, create something more profound. By mirroring my images you can look at my pictures in a different way and see things that other people do, or do not see. It often has to do with how you feel when you are looking at the images. It can even intensify a certain feeling. I have chosen to use different elements in this publication, like colour, black and white, nature, objects, close-ups, landscapes and also apply these techniques to humans and animals. It makes it a light-hearted series. The project is ongoing and from time to time new works will be published. The photographs in the series have not been given a title so they leave more to the imagination.
