This novel is set in the future when the lack of communication between humans and an alien race explodes into a galactic war threatening the survival of the human race. No matter how many of the aliens are killed they continue to reproduce at a higher rate until it appears Earth is doomed. It takes one person disobeying higher authority to demonstrate the solution to exterminate the aliens.
