Based on a true story ...This affair took place during the turn of the 20th century against a backdrop of a high class Washington society, affluent Irish-Catholic immigrants living the good life. A young woman by the name of Mary would attend seminary school and with her charity conscious parents would fellowship with seminarians and other clergy ...ultimately culminating in young, unmarried Mary's pregnancy. In disgrace, young Mary was told by her parents to leave town, which she did, and later gave birth to a baby boy on April 19th, 1903. An affair between a young woman of high social status in the Washington, DC aristocracy and a priest became a secret to be held for many years. This would affect each generation thereafter by that kept secret and tell in gripping detail how much the love, lies, and torment played a part.
