This book represents a compilation of information following the life and experiences of Niels Monson who was born in Denmark and emigrated to Hyrum, Utah arriving 23 February 1854. Niels grew up in Cache Valley where he married and raised his family. In 1893 the family moved to Goshen, Idaho where they had to clear sagebrush and dig canals to make the land hospitable.
