The author traces her grandfather Henry Abel Holme's ancestry back to the English immigrant John Holme I, who arrived in Philadelphia in 1686. The direct female family lines of Morgan, Hagner, Hastings, Bigelow and many more are also delineated back to their immigrant forefathers. The book contains 330 pages of text, 60 pages of appendices, photographs, documents, ancestral charts, an index and is meticulously referenced with endnotes following each chapter.
