Gumbo: The Poetry and Artworks is a collection of new poetry and original artwork by the poet. The poems relate to the simplicities of life. The poet believes that some of the simple things that are the substance of life hold many of the most profound meanings we can ever get out of life. Moreover, these simplest of things seem to evade far too many of us as we are distracted by consumerism and the decadence which comes with conspicuous consumption. Gumbo is the third title publication which contains poems written by this poet. He is at once excited about a future publication of poetry written while an undergraduate in the early nineties.
