Paradise Abandoned

Hawaii, while a location well-known for idyllic weather, uniquely beautiful and living landscapes, and a people as generous as they are endangered, has a lesser known history which should cause more than a few raised eyebrows. Kate, an elementary school teacher, is better educated on the subject than her newlywed husband, Jim, and set against the backdrop of, what feels like, the world's untimely end, together they must navigate personal struggles, a new marriage, and the western side of the Big Island.
