Alice C. Fogarty lived a long and happy life in Watervliet and Troy, NY. She was a captivating storyteller, and we are lucky to have recorded some of her most famous anecdotes before her passing at the great age of 96. She talks about her home life at 1026 23rd Street, Watervliet, with her beloved father, Cornelius Fogarty, the Fogarty Furniture Store in Troy, NY, where she worked for decades and spent her lunch hours singing along to the Edison Phonograph records the store sold, and St. Patrick's Church in Watervliet, where she always sat in the third pew on the right hand side.
