En esta tesis estudiamos los principios rectores de la teoria hostosiana del poder constituyente. Es decir, abordamos los conceptos o nociones elementales con las cuales Eugenio Maria de Hostos iniciara a sus alumnos en el estudio del Derecho Constitucional. Tambien tratamos sobre la manera en que Hostos consideraba debia organizarse al Estado constitucional, asi como su concepcion de los derechos y los deberes constitucionales que debia garantizar y requerir al ciudadano todo Estado de Derecho Constitucional. Concluimos con una sintesis de la teoria hostosiana del poder constituyente.
