Though this work is not exhaustive, it teaches what true Christian Counseling is versus ungodly psychological. The student will also learn what Nouthetic Counseling is and what it is not. It is not meant to give false impressions of other forms of counseling but to present the best possible avenue for believers in Jesus Christ to receive counseling that conforms to the teaching of the Bible. The work explains different approaches to counseling and some of the dangers for the one seeking counsel, and the person giving counsel, with special emphasis on confidentiality. Several of the students that I taught this work have come back to say that if they never used the information to help anyone else, it helped them when they were in difficulty. That alone is worth the cost of the book. Upon reading this manuscript, Dr. Linda Ratcliff, the president of Therapon University said, "It appears that you have addressed the issues of counseling from Alpha to Omega. Your writing style is quite professional; you are explaining the concepts clearly and concisely, and you have included quotations from the Bible - Well Done!"
