If you have never read Frederick Douglass's book titled Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, then you should. This book is for anyone who is interested in seeing slavery from a perspective most uncovered. Frederick book was so able to snatch me up that I saw things in line with our rich history as blacks that made the entire pathway of slavery both saving, healing, royal, and all together beautiful. How can I be thankful for such a history? how can I find anything lovely about the cruelty and the pain, and how does every drop of it fit the life of true freedom for us all? Let me tell you, I avoided many books about America's history concerning slavery because I could make nothing of it useful in my now-life. Having read this book of Frederick Douglass and sharing my notes of those things that made a gross impact on me did soon learn something very new and refreshing about it all. If like me you wanna know how any of this fits into your life in the most marvelous way then "Come and see."
