This research project will discuss how the United States Air Force Chaplain Service must take the initiative to develop and sustain the spiritual health of its members in order to continue to be visible reminders of the Holy. It investigates various aspects of the 2005 Chaplain Service Strategic Plan and its processes making the chaplain corps relevant for spiritual duty. It also investigates thoroughly the several books, documents, and articles to determine which aspects of the wide-ranging topics are truly pertinent and advantageous to the Chaplain Service personnel. It will also address the practical ways in which a chapel staff can transform into spiritually healthy and vibrant members of the Air Force community at large. The key source consulted for this project is the Chaplain Service Strategic Plan and how it adds to the member toolbox. Additionally, the Chaplain Service Resource Board was consulted for feedback and ideas in what would be beneficial to the Chaplain Service. Informal discussions were conducted with local and on-station chaplains for further feedback.
