Establishment Operation and Maintenance of a Remount Depot in the Theater of Operations

This study is based on personal experience of the author and was designed to present the subject as it was found to be during the World War and as it might be in any future major emergency. Some subjects discussed include the construction and operation of a remount in the theater of operations requiring a special knowledge, the importance and capability of animals and limitation of motors, the need for efficiently operated remount depots in the future, and that successful operation requires good judgment, foresight, labor, and attention to detail.
