It's Hannukah(!) and one family is anxiously awaiting the arrival of their beloved Grandma Gertie and her famous homemade applesauce so they can officially dig into Dad's yummy latkes! But as the clock continues to tick and it gets later and later, our narrator, Gertie's granddaughter, wonders if Gertie will make it in time for dinner.

Cut to Gertie, who may actually need a miracle to arrive before dinner. She's facing a series of massive and hilarious delays on her journey from the city to her family's house in the suburbs -- rickety-slow traffic, a rocky detour, a massive parade, and more.

Will she make it through these delays in time to celebrate the holiday with her family, and with her beloved latke topping still in tow?
