The Querist

The Sheriff of Muenster is a coming-of-age story involving the rebirth of a nation and two of her fallen sons following the Civil War. Two disillusioned soldiers abandon their former concepts of righteousness, success, and political idealism as they confront the realities of loss. They steal, rob, and cheat their way across the countryside, proclaiming and reclaiming what they believe is due to them. However, fate has other plans for these young Southern sons when they arrive in Muenster, Texas. The young men are faced with an unexpected dilemma and paradox when they are offered the chance to wear a badge instead of a mask. The decisions the new sheriff makes, with the help of a bounty hunter and the townsfolk, shape his choices. In the end, he discovers his true self by solving two problems at once: his past and his present position.
