A Season in Time is loosely based on the Philadelphia Experiment in WWII, in which an attempt was made to bend light and camouflage US vessels from enemy sight and radar. Some say the bizarre results were more in tune with time displacement. Charlie Craft is an intern reporter from West Palm Beach, Florida. He travels to a remote location in Vermont, where his grandfather and Robert Owens were inexplicably linked. To decipher this strange link, Charlie befriends a local waitress, Jenny, and with her help learns of the experimentas continuation and the machines constructed in an abandoned quarry. aBuga Stillwater is a friend and resident, and has personal reasons for reviving the experiment. Bugas intelligence allows him to tamper with the machines until he gets them running, and as the effects of the original experiment and reasons for its abandonment become clear, it takes its toll on them all.
