A troubled young man (David Johnson) struggles with both his demanding uncle (Pete Johnson) and his own uncertainty to find a way to please God. While dealing with his own doubts about his eternity, Pete attempts to show the path to heavenly deliverance by insisting his nephew read each of his uncle’s weekly newspaper columns, coupled with corresponding verses of Biblical scripture. David’s desperation finds its way into a continual string of strange dreams, and Pete uses his column as an outlet for his own frustrations, at both society and his spiritual inadequacies.
