Annas Obsession is the story of a young girl, Ann, who meets a handsome older man, Gary, falls in love, and elopes. They start a family, buy a house, and have the perfect suburban life. Gary, who appeared to be a loving, caring, trustworthy husband, becomes a womanizer. He makes Ann become a recluse so she wonat look at other men, and men wonat look at her. Eventually he becomes violent. Ann divorces him, and he threatens to get even. Many years later, because of the marriage of their daughter, they reunite, and through Garyas urging, they renew their relationship. Gary convinces Ann that he has changed his ways, but it is all a sham. After a time, his violence resurfaces, this time almost taking Annas life. Only her strong will to live saves her. Even though the characters in this book are fictional, this could have happened in Anytown, U.S.A., and more of this is probably happening than anyone can imagine.
