In these pages are some of the things I have done in my life of keeping bees. Many jobs are through the police, from working on my hives to rushing to help a man trapped by a swarm on the back of his deck chair. There are road accidents caused by swarms flying into rockers on bikes, houses made uninhabitable because bees came down chimney, and unthinking people putting poison gas into rooms and accidently killing the pet dog. There are fires in homes caused by bees in the flues, recovering from a house the body of a woman stung to death in her bed, and visitors who got the fire brigade out for an electrical fault only to find it was wasps. Along with bees and wasps, there was the time I had to clear a burial vault of snakes and scared a visitor from the USA half to death. I also got an invite to a wedding where I had saved the groom from certain doom an hour before the serviceaalthough he was all wet. All and more are contained within these pages.
