A young cowboy loses his job and thinks his luck is snake bit. It gets even worse when he loses all the money he has in a poker game. He decides to look for a job in Socorro, New Mexico, where he has worked before. On the way there he stops at a cut bank to camp and finds a couple of pretty stones that he finds out later are sapphires. He finds out about the stones being sapphire and later returns and claims it and starts a rest stop camp there and becomes rich from the jewels. He later decides that his luck hadn’t really been bad, it was just destiny working to lead him to a better life.
