Set in the foothills of the Texas hill country, the places are real; the people, only partially so. The letters from the mid-nineteenth century quoted in Part Three represent a very small portion of the seventy-eight passed down and preserved by members of the Greenman, Jones, Waite, and Johnson families. This psychodrama attempts to link the colorful life of a talented young artist with a soul mate from the past. It involves cultivating the ability to understand things from somebody elseas point of view and to appreciate the forces that have influenced their outlook.
