John Babineaux, the Cajun who left home and family in search of his future, continues to live in Valdosta, Georgia, and employed as a gofer by Phillip Klein, owner of the Triple A Detective Agency. After John solves a long-dormant case, Phillip presents him with a huge case file that has avoided a solution. The Knowlton Family case holds the possibility of significant monetary reward, but itas a search for a reward that has troubled the dysfunctional Knowlton family for many years.
