Although the work weekend had started out as normal as any other workday for convenience store manager Anne Fowler, after a perpetual inventory count and a viewing of the previous nightas security video, she discovered that her day was going to be a little different than most other days, and she found herself placing a rather reluctant but necessary phone call to the Granville Police Department to report that an amusing yet bothersome robbery had taken place during the previous nightas business. The dashingly handsome and widely experienced Detective Matt Harrington, whom Anne had met during previous investigations at her store, casually strolled into her backroom to view the security video and investigate the robbery, afterwards becoming both her nemesis and her ally during the unnerving chain of events that began to unravel that afternoon, events which threatened to change her life and her outlook on life forever.
