Felix the Flea, as you will find, is a very unusual flea. He was born in a doghouse on Clay Lick and spent most of his life in the same doghouse. His family was killed, when he was just a few years old. He lives a lonely life until he meets a female flea by the name of Flo. He and Flo take several trips together. They enjoy the motorcycle trips with Jim and Phyllis to the Grand Canyon, and a trip south with Paulette and Joe. They were not members, but they attended the Parchment Valley Church. Felix and Flo make plans to be married but Pastor Robinson goes on vacation, and while he is gone, something happens that changes their entire life.
