A seventeen-year-old boy, Bob Silvey, is missing from an after-school hunting trip. Search parties are formed, but no trace of the boy can be found. Bob has fallen into an abandoned well miles from where he was supposed to be hunting, so the search parties are looking in the wrong place. Bob has to survive with limited food, painful injuries, and the fear of never being found. He must remain calm in the face of adversity. With no new leads to follow, only a few family members continue to search for the lost hunter. The first substantial lead comes from an unlikely source, and the story then takes an unexpected turn. Bobas family never gives up hope, and Bob never loses courage. Many prayers are answered and many lives are changed as a result of Bob Silveyas ordeal.
