When Ann Miller is informed that her husband is MIA (missing in action), pressures from family and friends push her into a lonely life of constant mourning. Desperate to begin a new life, she decides to take a job as a reporter in a remote lake resort town. A dangerous adventure ensues when she encounters a violent group of people from her past that try to kill her. She meets on this deadly journey a man that has brought home with him the brutality and emotional scars from the same violent war.
