This is a story of a boy named James Buchanan who lived during the Great Depression. Growing up he never knew his parents. After getting married and having a child he goes some distance to seek employment. After being beaten and robbed, he is left with total amnesia and wanders around as a homeless person for some time. He enters the Army in 1943 and is twice a hero. It will be 20 years before he reunites with his family. Then he learns of his parents. Enter mystery, murder, and a big surprise.
