Atlas D'Embryologie (1889)

Virgil McCranie began writing this collection of poems at the age of 15, in 1991. His poems touch on emotions we all feel and topics that concern everyone, from love, regret, fear, and death, to Heaven and Hell. Some address concepts we normally avoid for lack of comprehension and the mental anguish they may induce. Some deal with the problems of long-distance relationships and love that we sometimes just can’t have. Others express fear of a judicial system that did not work for him, the lasting repercussions that can accompany bad decisions, and the awful bitterness the situation evoked. He hopes that something in the words of his poems can instill hope in the face of sadness, or let readers know they are not alone with their feelings. If Virgil McCranie can make it through his trials and tribulations surely the readers can as well.
