Poseidon tells the story of a human from beginning to end. From the Big Bang to the appearance of Homo Sapiens, every human being has been in this world in different forms. Once he finally makes it into this world in the shape we better recognize, he starts a Long Journey, which is going to teach him many lessons. At the beginning, the attachment to possessions, such as family and place, starts creating a sense of belonging, which increases, until eventually the individual begins experiencing Love. This feeling develops until there is a breaking point. Here is where the person usually starts going downhill, and there is a moment when he starts to be critical and creates a stronger personality with new goals. Love may survive, but the individual is involved in a very questioning view of the Present Days. Ultimately, society provokes him to think in what the author refers as Paradise Collapse. At this moment, this human being enters a complaining mood, a position where he does not agree with the world and he disagrees with many ideals or situations. For a moment, the person enters a melting pot of ideas, which confuses him to a point that he realizes that the years are gone. In a more relaxed mood, he is aware of that situation and decides to look back in time and analyze the different chapters of his life. Finally, he prepares for the next step, The Return to Neptune. From a literary perspective, Poseidon is a combination of different kinds of poetry with a great variety of subjects. In Poseidon, the author plays with form and space, giving the page a significant value. The author includes the long and short prose, abstract poems, allegoric, alphabet, ballad, event, free verse, line, list, madrigal, nonsense verse, oulipo, pantoum, sonnet and sestina forms, besides a rich variety of subjects such as science, metaphysics, love, philosophy, contemporary and religious topics, which are elaborated in this art form. The author uses margins and positioning of his lines to resemble his ideals.
