This is a story of a young girl whose mother was put in a coma after being in a horrible car accident. While in the coma, the mother awakens in an alternate reality. The mother is forced to watch her now twenty-four-year-old daughter put her life on the line every day as a homicide detective. In this universe, the daughteras mother was murdered when she was seventeen and she became a homicide detective to hunt down the man that murdered her mother. Through the story the mother is forced to watch her daughteras tortured life unfold. The man is found and brought to justice, only to run again. The mother who appeared in the alternate universe is now chasing him, only to be forced into another car accident, one that sends her back to her original universe and to her daughter who never left her side.
