Daphnis Et Chloe (1878)

Jacques Amyot

My World, a poem in this book, was written for my mom. You are our lives, three made up into you. To describe would be untrue. We are you. To hold us near, tell us everything. Always there accepting and forgiving, we hold you to the sun. For us we’re all one. Inner Butterfly, another poem in this book, was written for my gram. Whirling, twirling, spinning round, never stop to touch the ground. Caressing towards endless light, spitting rays and hiding night. Swallowing fear and spreading hope can describe this beautiful creature. My poetry represents things that come to me because of things that happen around me or movies that I watch. I also use personal experiences like death and loneliness and happiness. Mostly my poems are about love, hope and change all expressed in different ways. There are poems that represent the people closest to me. I also love the natural things that our earth has to offer so there are poems about the sun and the stars and, of course, flowers. When reading my poetry you get a peek inside my head. I don’t let too many people do that.
