The novel is, in a sense, a mystery, leading the reader through a labyrinth of self-discovery by love. It is also a very earthy story about two people who are drawn to each other in ways that are both mysterious and obvious, but all the while engaging. This is a story about love outside of time, outside of convention, and outside of anything other than God. This is a story that raises questions about the characters that the reader is only likely to find answered with some measure of personal soul-searching. But with all of this, itas a pretty fair story about love undeniable.
