Jean Saint-Martin

Opening eyes to the gap between sacred and Christian arts, Herb A. Williamsa resume reads like a multifaceted road map to the performing arts. Herb made his first Broadway show appearance in Ainat Misbehavina in 1988. He went on to feature in many national and international tours as a professional artist for more than twenty years. Mr. Williams has produced, directed and choreographed productions here in the US, where he currently resides, as well as in Italy, Austria, Finland, and Spain, where he lived for eight years. As a solo artist, he has sung in some of the finest concert halls the world over. Finding his true calling, he has for the past eight years worked in the area of Christian arts study, lectured, and spoke in various universities and religious institutions. In 2005 he founded the Hampton Roads Christian Arts Guild and the National Association of Christian Arts, where he currently holds the position of artistic director. Mr. Williams directs, choreographs and produces (through Edutainment Productions Inc.) three annual productions which include original works and a well-publicized production of Langston Hughesa aBlack Nativity.a In this book Mr. Williams allows the artist and arts ministry leader the opportunity to explore and understand the distinctive features of Godas creativity while providing them with a biblical framework for the arts. It will deepen understanding of applying the arts in Christian life and provide assistance in the process of releasing the arts in Christian missions.
