At age 10, author Craig Daniel was fascinated by dinosaurs. His interest was re-awakened when his daughter began pre-school and also took a shining to dinosaurs. Her interest was infectious, and once again he was hooked. He bought a dinosaur tooth at a local mall and then began collecting more and more fossils, until he developed a traveling natural history museum that he started taking to schools. This book is based on his presentation, but with many more fossils than he could ever bring out to the classrooms. Handbook to Life on Earth pictures dinosaur fossils as well as fossils from before and after dinosaurs roamed the Earth. This is my way to put my school presentation in front of those whom I will never get a chance to meet personally and show the wonders of natural science. Hopefully this will encourage young students to read more and visit a natural history museum near them. Craig Daniel graduated with a B.S. in physics from Muhlenberg College. He presents natural history programs at area schools and at the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
