Nathaniel V. Ivanov was raised in southwest Pennsylvania. He was raised by adoptive parents from the time he was an infant. He had many interests and aspirations while growing up, but unfortunately realized very few of them. Money was scarce and the area where Ivanov grew up was filled with dead coal mines and steel mills. There were beautiful rolling hills and caverns that he enjoyed exploring. Science has always been a passion of his. He is an artist, musician, philosopher and a father. He also loves writing. Ivanov was raised in a very abusive household; however, he persevered despite his adversities. The greatest of these adversities was mental illness. He studies psychology to this day as a novice. His greatest aspiration was to become a professor of geology, paleontology and mineralogy. This is his first book. His wish is that this book will help people recognize any unusual behavior in their children or other loved ones so that they can get the help that they need. Ivanov is a success story because he found help. Without the help he so desperately needed, he certainly would not be alive in this world today. He speaks at functions that are specifically designed to help others recognize and understand mental illness and child abuse. His audiences usually consist of law enforcement officials and healthcare workers. He is not paid for these appearances. He volunteers his time and knowledge in hope that he can help others by helping people to understand and recognize abnormal behavior.
