Der Romische Limes in Osterreich, Book 8 (1907)

Gash, half-elf priestess/mage and member of the Guardians of the Mark, takes her orders from Jordan. Jordan is the leader of the guardians, of whom there are Gorge the dwarf, Arnie the halfling, and El the elf. Itas been many centuries since Underworlders have caused the surface dwellers problems. Warnings of the Crimson Wizard send the guardians in search of the reason for the problems with the dead. The introduction of ancient artifacts give them what they need to deal with the daemon, Asmodee. They find him with the Darkendorf, a group of deep-dwelling dwarfs. The guardians, after a long chase, find him at their stronghold. During the battle with Asmodee, Galen is seriously injured. After taking him to the Crimson Spire to be healed, they track down the daemon near Gashas peopleas home across the sea. A hard-pitched battle between the guardians and Asmodee sees him dead.
