Kim Hoff was born in Seattle, Washington, in August of 1977. She began writing poetry at the age of fifteen. coffee pot poetry is her first book. Hoff writes about tragedy, addiction and bliss, which seems to fit her own life having grown up with many hardships and struggles. She is single with no children, living alone in her urban apartment of Seattle, and working on her second volume of poetry.
