Harry was raised in Parma, Ohio. In 1971, after graduating high school, he entered the United States Navy. Upon completing his obligation, he worked odd jobs until 1975, when he joined the Sheriffas Department in Cape May County, New Jersey. After he retired he moved to Florida. It was at a local hospital in Daytona Beach that Harry and Chrys met, not knowing or expecting that in less than a yearas time they would fall in love. Living apart, they would often talk on the phone, write poems to each other, and spend as much time together as they could. In 1996, Harry made the decision to move in with Chrys and begin a life together. Two Hearts That Found Their Way: Poems Written from the Heart is a collection of those poems written by Harry and Chrys as an expression of their deepest feelings for each other, and for the love and happiness that they both share in a truly remarkable relationship. Chrys, a native Floridian, was very athletic while attending high school, which carried over to her college days at Florida State University. She graduated with a bacheloras degree in criminal justice. Chrys has two children.
