Can a woman with a normal job living among friends in a calm, Midwestern life seek mystery beyond the faAade of ordinary life? The diminutive Lavinia Beasley, dancer, choreographer and kindergarten teacher, not only faces this underlying conflict, but another as well in the person of the solemn-faced but handsome priest, Edward Desmoines. A longtime acquaintance of Lavinia, he shares her sailing interest.
