The setting: 1910 El Paso, Texas, and the Texas Panhandle. The preacher, a young William Granthom; orphaned at a young age, raised and educated back East in Christian seminaries with the hope of one day preaching in the untamed West, which had taken his parents. Archibald Andrew Armstrong, Archie, a Civil War veteran, who after seventy years still found profound joy and peace in God and Jesus Christ. Archie and the Preacher is the story of God bringing these two together for William’s learning and the unraveling of his mysterious past-a past that had been manipulated by lies, murder, fraud, and deceit.
