The book begins with the authoras home on a floating village in the northern Canadian wilderness, and continues with his Navy years, when he flew in torpedo bombers from aircraft carriers. The author also served as an officer in the U.S. Army, including a term as a paratrooper nurse. The reader is invited to share the authoras delightful three years in historic and colorful Heidelberg, Germany. But then came a perilous year under fire in Vietnam, where God became very real. The author also shares his experiences as an educator serving on the faculty of the U.S. Army School of Anesthesia for nurses, and as director of civilian schools of anesthesia.
