Jack Black is a more or less typical middle aged American guy, except for the fact that he’s not sure whether or not he really exists. Making matters worse, no one he knows is quite sure either. Jack compensates for his existential ambivalence by slipping in and out of fantasy; harmless enough until his fantasies entangle him in a seemingly real-life intrigue that is as dangerous as it is potentially profitable. His efforts to figure things out only add to the confusion, propelling him on a wild, possibly lethal, but always hilarious, ride into the imaginary depths of the great American mid-west.
